A few times a year, Firestone Walker will do a special release from its Barrelworks program, a program that develops many rare, barrel-aged beers including wild, or "sour" beers. This fall Barrelworks finally released, or "liberated" to use FW's language, Agrestic American Wild Red Ale. As with all Barrelworks releases, production is extremely limited. Only 600 cases of Agrestic were produced, with kegs of the sour beer being even rarer.
The Dugout was able to bring in the only keg sent to Ventura County, and we'll be tapping it Tuesday October 7 to kick off the inaugural New Tap Tuesday, a monthly event featuring new beers at happy hour prices. There are only 5.2 gallons of this beer in Ventura, so make sure to get there early before the keg runs dry. The first pints of Agrestic start pouring at 4pm!
